Want to brush up on your bike skills before hitting the road? Level 2: Road Ready! Bike Handling Boot Camp is for you! Level 2: Road Ready: Bike Handling Boot Camp is for people who are able to ride a 2-wheel bike. but who want guided practice to improve their skills. Level 2: Road Ready: Bike Handling Boot Camp will help you improve your bike handling skills, and enable you to control your bike with confidence. You'll learn how to be the boss of your bike in an empty parking lot during the first 2 sessions to prepare you to go on a ride on the bike paths of Redmond (weather permitting) in session 3. Weather permitting, during the last session of Level 2: Road Ready: Bike Handling Boot Camp we will go on a 5-mile group bike ride on the beautiful trails of Redmond, where you'll put your new skills to practice, and see for yourself how you can use your bike for everyday needs and exercise. Level 2: Road Ready: Bike Handling Boot Camp consists of three 3-hour sessions on consecutive Saturdays. You must be able to attend all 3 sessions. See dates below. Level 2: Road Ready: Bike Handling Boot Camp meets in Redmond at the City Hall campus. We use the Public Safety Building as our classroom space, and the nearby parking lots and trails for riding. Don't have a bike? No problem. You can rent one from me for just $30. Just pay me by cash or check on the first day of class. Bike helmets are required for this class (with exceptions for certain religious head wear). Don't have a bike helmet? No problem. You can buy a CPSC-approved bike helmet from me for just $20 cash or check on the first day of class. You can also buy one from any bike shop. 2020 Class Schedule: April 4, 11, & 18, 1 pm - 4 pm May 2, 9, & 16, 1 pm - 4 pm May 23, 30, & June 6, 9:30 am - 12:30 pm August 8, 15, & 22, 9:30 am - 12:30 pm September 19, September 26, & October 3, 1 pm - 4 pm October 17, October 24, & October 31, 91 pm - 4 pm Cost: Classes are $145 for residents of Redmond, $174 for non-residents. Bike rentals are $30 extra payable on the first day of class. Helmets are required and can be purchased at any bike shop, or from me for $20 extra on the first day of class. Are you in?
