Learning the skills and etiquette of trail riding opens up a world of places to explore, and Redmond is a great place to start your next trail riding adventure.  In Level 3, you'll learn the "rules of the road" for trail riding, and the skills for riding safely and courteously.  You'll also get to go on 2 trail rides that will put your skills to use and give you an experience you'll never forget.

Level 3: Trail Riding Skills, Etiquette, and Adventures
Sat. Aug. 29 and Sat. Sept. 5, 12:30pm - 3:45pm

Riding on trails is a fun, free activity for you and your family that can give you exercise and allow you to go places.  But how do you ride on trails safely?  What are the rules about how fast you can go?  How to cross intersections?  How to pass pedestrians?  What are the hazards to be aware of?  How do you avoid them?

Level 3: Trail Riding Skills, Etiquette, and Adventures teaches you the bike handling skills you need for enjoyable trail riding, as well as the etiquette for sharing the trail with pedestrians and other cyclists.  Each class session also features a trail ride that explores different destinations in the Redmond area:
  • In the first session, we'll ride an 8-mile loop through the heart of Redmond, where you'll put your bike skills and trail knowledge to use as you ride along the Sammamish River and through Marymoor Park.
  • In the second session, we'll ride a 24-mile out-and-back ride to Lake Sammamish State Park along the new East Lake Sammamish Trail, where you'll have a great time learning just how far your bike (and legs) can take you.

In Level 3, nobody gets left behind.  We all ride together and support one another.  You do not have to be "in shape" to take this class.  Just come as you are, and let the experience of trail riding change your life.

Level 3: Trail Riding Skills, Etiquette, and Adventuresconsists of two 3.25-hour sessions on consecutive Saturdays.  You must be able to attend both sessions.
